Carmen and Jake Cerbone’s Wedding at Garment Factory Events
We had the joy of hosting Carmen & Jake Cerbone’s wedding on August 24, 2024, and every detail perfectly captured their vision of a rustic, casual, yet timeless day. From their intimate first look in the Province Room to their reception in the Franklin Room, each moment was filled with love, laughter, and personal touches that made the day uniquely theirs.
A Heartfelt First Look and Private Vows
Carmen and Jake’s first look was an unforgettable moment that calmed their pre-ceremony nerves. Carmen shared, “The nerves and butterflies were extremely high before the first look, but the moment we saw each other, they completely vanished.” Their private vows exchanged during this quiet time allowed them to embrace the emotions of the day intimately, a special choice for couples who may feel shy about public speaking.
As Carmen expressed, “We both agree that doing the first look and private vows was a great decision. The anticipation, the excitement, the happiness—we’ll never forget those feelings.”
Embracing a Rustic and Classy Theme
Carmen described their wedding theme as “rustic and casual but also classy and timeless.” To bring this to life, they incorporated vintage treasures with sentimental value, from aged glass bottles passed down through generations to DIY details that were a labor of love. The couple’s choice of décor highlighted their unique personalities and family history, such as the cherished glass bottles from Carmen’s Great Granddad, Bud, who originally collected them along the beaches of Key West in the early 1900s. These beautifully displayed bottles carried a piece of family history, connecting Carmen’s past with this monumental day.
The table numbers were a playful nod to their journey together, showing photos of Carmen and Jake through the years. Additional touches like personalized growlers and handmade PVC sign frames added a rustic DIY charm while keeping the overall look elegant and cohesive.
Unforgettable Moments on the Patio
Amid all the festivities, Carmen and Jake took a private moment on the patio just after the ceremony to sign their marriage license. This brief pause allowed them to truly absorb the excitement of having just been married, and they both agree it was one of the best parts of the day.
As they reflected, “Taking that time to just absorb the moment and feel the feelings with no interruptions was a decision we’ll never regret.” This quiet moment together exemplified the intimate, meaningful experience they wanted to create.
